Some wonderful Play Connect participants are offering ways to access more playfulness and freedom in journaling, movement, drawing and more! The hosts are generously offering the classes for free but might ask for your feedback or reviews in exchange. Join the Facebook group to hear about any we add over August.
My classes resume in September-October:-)

Joy in Journaling with Debra Hopper
Friday 15 July 6-7:30pm BST
Shift journaling from serious, solitary, and cerebral to more playful, curious, and present 🙂
In this interactive and experiential class, we’ll explore journaling through the senses — the materials used, the physical action, and the impact of other factors the body presents. This class is ideal for adults who want to journal but don’t want to get lost in rumination and folks who have fallen out of love with journaling.
Facebook event in the group here.
To join: Book this on Debra’s site here. If it’s full, you can join Debra’s email list at the bottom of her page to hear about the next one.

Tarot for Play and Reflection, Carrie Loveland
Friday 5th August, 6pm-7:30pm BST
“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” Carl Jung
Find Carrie on Instagram at carrie.intuitivetarot
While tarot is most popularly known as a form of “fortune telling,” the cards contain universal archetypes and life themes, and can be used as a modality for self-reflection, personal insight, and transformation. Using a Jungian approach, this class will show you how to read tarot for yourself as a way of connecting with your own inner wisdom & intuition, through facilitated exercises and guided prompts for journaling, reflection, and embodying the cards.
Instead of “predicting the future,” you will learn how to read the tarot as a mirror for the unconscious (much like dream interpretation) to explore your own personal mythology. As you discover the stories inside you— reflected in the cards— you are invited to make more conscious & empowering choices about “the story” you’re living in your everyday life!
Please bring:
- An open heart & willingness to be vulnerable ❤️
- A notebook/journal or pen & paper to record your reflections
A physical tarot *deck (preferred, but not required!) or access the deck through this free tarot app
*The Rider-Waite (or Rider-Waite-Smith) standard tarot deck is available on U.S. Amazon, UK Amazon and many other places.

Uncage Your Voice with Andrea Davies
6pm BST Friday 2nd September
As adults we often learn to cage our voices within a narrow “normal” zone. This class will help you release parts of your voice that have been held back in order to use sound to express and regulate yourself more fully.
Please bring:
- Water
- Something to record yourself with like your phone (you don’t have to share it)
Note – Like improv, sounds can sometimes bring up emotions so take care to manage your experience responsibly.
Is there a link for Uncage your voice? I would love to join this session. Thanks. ( I may just not be able to see it in which case my apologies.)
Hi Katarina – I’ll send it to you 🙂
